National Economic Dialogue is a decisive step to reset Ghana’s economy- Mahama

President John Dramani Mahama says the National Economic Dialogue is more than just a symbolic exercise or the fulfillment of a campaign promise.

Speaking at the opening of the 2025 National Economic Dialogue on Monday, March 3, 2025, President indicated that the forum is a decisive step to rebuilding Ghana’s economy.

“It is a decisive step in our collective responsibility to reset Ghana’s economy, restore confidence, and build the prosperous future we all envision,” he said.

President Mahama added that this forum marks the beginning of the process of engaging in an honest and solution-driven discussion as there are talks about the challenges that Ghana faces, as well as its opportunities.

“Today, we are here to begin the process of engaging in honest, solution-driven discussions about the challenges we face and the opportunities before us,” he stated.

He stressed that Ghana now stands at a critical moment and that the choices made will determine the state of the economy in the future.

“Our nation stands at a pivotal moment, and the choices we make now will determine the trajectory of our economy for generations to come.”
