The Kotoku road, a vital artery for the local community, had deteriorated to a point where it was causing inconvenience and damage to vehicles. Frustrated with the lack of action from authorities, a group of determined residents took matters into their own hands. They organized a community-led initiative to repair the road, demonstrating their commitment to improving their neighborhood.
Recognizing the enormity of the task, the community group approached a local company, Rush Company, for support. In a heartwarming display of corporate social responsibility, Rush Company responded with a generous donation of five tipper trucks of sand, a crucial material for the road repair project.
Emboldened by this support, the community group pressed on with their efforts. To ensure the project’s sustainability, they decided to collect contributions from drivers who regularly use the road.Odartei Mohammed stated that the funds collected would go towards purchasing additional materials and covering other expenses associated with the repair work.
