
The John Evans Atta Mills Memorial Heritage is set to commemorate the 13th anniversary of the demise of President John Evans Atta Mills.
The Memorial lecture, which is set to place on the 22nd of July,2025, at the Kofi Konedu Auditorium at the University of Professional Studies UPSA in Accra.
The event will be graced with dognified political leaders such as the former Electoral Commission Chair, Charlotte Osei; Chief of Staff at the Presidency, Julius Debrah, amongst others.
Speaking to the media, Chairman of the John Evans Atta Mills Memorial Heritage (JEAMMH), Alex Segbefia, hinted that the board has commenced on a comprehensive documentary on the life and works of Professor JEA Mills.
According to him, the project aims to preserve the history of JEA Mills for future generations, highlighting his principles and visions that defined his public life and leadership.
He used the opportunity to call on all Ghanaians to actively participate in the anniversary celebration of the late President to emphasize his commitment to the country during his presidency.
On her part, Member of the John Evans Atta Mills Memorial Heritage, Hon. Nana Oye Bampoe alluded that the annual event is to celebrate the legacy of the 2nd president of the 4th Republic.
According to her, “Ghana lost a man of peace, humility, deep conviction, and a leader whose entire life was committed to public service some 13 years ago and must be recognized by all Ghanaians.”
