YADD GHANA CALLS FOR CONSTITUTIONAL REFORMS IN GHANA’S CONSTITUTION

The Youth Alliance for Democratic Development, Ghana(aaYADD) Ghana, a Youth-Led Civil Society Organization, have added voice for some amendments in the 1992 constitution.

To the group,constitutional review must not be seen as political posturing but rather as an opportunity to reaffirm democratic values and set a stronger foundation for generations ahead.

Speaking to the media,Executive Director for YADD Ghana,James Kofi Martey urged Ghanaians to support hhe need for constitutional reforms irrespective of party affiliations,adding that it will help shape a future built not on partisan interests, but on justice, integrity, and progress.

According to him, 1992 constitution should embody our highest aspirations—not just for today, but for tomorrow’s Ghana.

He added that the democratic journey of the country is a crossroad that needs a call to action plan and not just an exchange of ideas.
