HEALTHCARE:KABAKA FOUNDATION CUTS SOD FOR NEW ADOLESCENT CORNER.
The Kabaka Foundation, in partnership with the Ga East Municipal Hospital (GEMH), has cut sod for the construction of a modern Adolescent Corner and Antenatal Care unit to improve access to adolescent and maternal healthcare in the municipality.
The ceremony was led by Nana Owiredu Wadie, Kwahu Nkwatia Nkosouhene and Chairman of the Kabaka Foundation, in his birthday month, making the event a symbolic and reflects the Kabaka Foundation’s mission to advance healthcare for the vulnerable.
Speaking at the event, Superintendent, Dr. Ayuba Seidu Abdulai,Medical Director of Ga East Municipal Hospital (GEMH) expressed his gratitude for the partnership.
He used the occassion to commended the initiative as timely and impactful,adding that the Adolescent Corner will provide counseling, Reproductive health education and Psychosocial support, while the Antenatal Unit will enhance safe, patient-centered care for expectant mothers.
Dr. Ayuba Seidu Abdulai,M continues to expand services and infrastructure, positioning itself as a centre of excellence in inclusive patient-focused healthcare.
On his part,Mr. Henry Larbi,the Executive Director of Kabaka Foundation, highlighted the foundation commitment to improve the lives of vulnerable populations through healthcare, education with social interventions
The foundation also donated funds to support patients who were unable to pay their bills and presented Kabaka-Branded Medical items, including Lab Coats and Scrubs, for future use at the facility with a pledged of the Foundation’s full support to ensure completion of the project by September 2026, underscoring the collective commitment to strengthening healthcare delivery.
