GPRTU, TRANSPORT UNION AND CONTAINERS ASSOCIATION PETITION PRESIDENT OVER CMB LORRY PARK.

 

Over thousands of Ghanaians from the Ghana Private Road Transport Union,other transport unions and the containers owners Association has taken to the street to petitioned President John Dramani Mahama over the CMB Lorry Station.

The peaceful protest started from the CMB Lorry Station and ended at the Jubilee house to officially handover their petition to government.

Public Relations officer for GPRTU, Abass Moro Ibrahim pleaded with the president to hault activities of private developers on the CMB Lorry Station for drivers and traders to continue plight their businesses.

According to him, the space was given to them by former president Jerry John Rawlings as far back at 1985,and it will suicidal if from no where a private developer will claim the ownership of the land.

Madam Diana Nyankopah Daniels,Chairperson of the containers owners Association reiterated the need for president to prevent any individuals from taken away the livelihoods from the traders(CMB Lorry Station).

Receiving the petition onbehalf of the government presidential staffer, Bridget Otoo assured the petitioners as a matter of urgency will handover their petition to President Mahama for proper measures to be taken.
