The Men’s Fellowship and Executives at St. Cecilia Chapter in Accra have been inaugurated and installed as part of the parish fellowship and executives.

The ceremony marked a significant milestone for the church, highlighting the importance of men’s involvement in evangelism and community development.

In an exclusive interview with the Priest in Charge at St. Cecilia Chapter, Rev. Dr. Gloria Naadzama Addico, she expressed her joy and gratitude that the Men’s Fellowship, a vital part of the Anglican community, has finally been established in the church.

“We don’t have a chapter here, and today we thank God we have one here,” Rev. Dr. Addico said.

The Priest in Charge congratulated and encouraged the men, emphasizing that coming together enables them to accomplish more than they could individually.

“When people come together, they are able to do more than when they’re individual,” she said.

“We are praying that they will help the church, and already, they’ve pledged to uphold that they will be doing more at the church.”

Rev. Dr. Addico urged the men to be strong Christians and evangelists, citing 2 Timothy chapter 3, where Paul asks Timothy to do the work of an evangelist.

“This is exactly what I expect these brothers, friends within the neighborhood, to do,” she said.

“I pray that they’ll go to the neighborhood to evangelize, especially the youth in the community and also within the church, to come to know much about God.”

The Priest in Charge also advised the newly appointed heads of the Men’s Fellowship, saying, “Sometimes when it comes to collecting posts, it’s not necessarily means you should sit down and rest because you’ve done everything.”

She noted that the president, Mr. Mensah, has been a chairman for the church for a while, and the team is already working hard.

Mr. Enoch Mensah, the newly installed Men’s Fellowship President, in an interview with Charles Mensah Nyamedi, CEO of Gye Nyame Media Network, expressed his gratitude to God for the successful inauguration.

“When we started St Cecilia Anglican Church in Accra, this coming year 2026 will mark 40 years since it was established,” he said.

“For the past 4 years, we’ve been announcing that we want to establish a Men’s Fellowship, and today, God has paved the way for us to name this Men’s Fellowship.”

Mr. Mensah emphasized the importance of men’s involvement in the church, saying, “We, the men, are the head of the association, so we can’t sit for the women alone to work within the church. As men in the church, we have to stand and help in terms of evangelism within the community and the church.”

He urged those who haven’t joined the fellowship to come and work together to make the church proud.

The Diocesan President in Accra, Kenneth Oscar Ghartey, attended the inauguration and stated that the Men’s Fellowship is essential in propagating the gospel and winning others to Christ.

“Today, we installed 29 people, and their main duties are to propagate the gospel in their programs and share the Word of God,” he said.

“We pray that they will be empowered to reach out to others and make a positive impact in the community.”

The inauguration ceremony marked a new chapter in the life of St Cecilia Anglican Church, and the Men’s Fellowship is poised to play a vital role in spreading the gospel and serving the community.
