Africans in Diaspora communities have been urged to be united

President of the International Convention of Africans in Diaspora (ICAD), Bishop Dr Charles Abban, has urged diaspora communities, particularly Africans, to unite for stronger economic impact, cultural preservation, and national development.

Speaking at the ICAD conference 2025 in Accra, Bishop Charles Abban urged diasporans to unite and shape a brighter future for Ghana and Africa at large.

He emphasised the importance of unity and collective action in driving national progress, adding that Africans should preserve their history and culture themselves rather than relying on non-Africans.

The conference brought important personalities together, including Dr Lawrence Tetteh, Black Raster, Lawyer Yaw Frimpong Anokye, Kwesi Pratt Jnr. among others.

The conference brought together people around the globe, especially those in Northern and Eastern America, including Jamaica, Elsavado, and Barbados, among others as well as Eastern Europe.

The theme for this year’s was “Africa Unity and Development, The Role of of the African Diaspora.”

Bishop Dr Charles Abban, who is the founder and leader of the Miracle Rock Church Int. urged the diasporans to use the platform to create a conducive environment in Ghana and Africa.

He therefore called on them to be united and bring development to Africa.

Dr Lawrence Tetteh also gave applause to Dr. Charles Abban for his efforts in bringing people together and stresses the importance of unity among Jamaicans, Barbadians, Bahamians, Grenadians, Saint Lucians, and Ghanaians among others.

He mentioned the significance of embracing the idea of unity and supporting each other for diaspora members as a positive initiative.
