Arise Ghana, a national interventionist group, has revealed its plans to conduct an independent assessment of the government’s performance in its first year in office.
The assessment press conference, titled “Independent assessment of the John Mahama government’s first year in office” will be held on 7th January, 2026 at International Press Center.
According to a press statement signed by the Secretary of the Group, Richard Kasu, this independent assessment is aimed at evaluating the government’s progress on key campaign promises and policy initiatives, including the economy, ORAL, education, healthcare, energy, and governance among others.
He mentioned that the “independent review provides an objective analysis of the government’s commitment to its manifesto promises, key deliverables, challenges, and recommendations for improvement.”
“We strongly believe that one year is enough to review the social contract between the government and the people,” he stated.
Mr. Kasu also called on all stakeholders to get involved as the Group assess the performance of the John Mahama-led NDC government’s first year in office.
