NEW PATRIOTIC PARTY TO ELECT NATIONAL OFFICERS ON SATURDAY
The New Patriotic Party (NPP) has fixed Saturday. September 19. 2026. as the date for its National Delegates Conference. at which delegates will, among other matters, elect National Officers of the Party pursuant to Article 10(1) of the Party Constitution.
The decision was taken by the National Executive Committee (NEC) and subsequently approved by the National Council at their respective meetings held on Thursday. June 25. 2026. Ahead of the conference.
A letter signed by their general secretary has formally invites proposals for amendments to the Party’s Constitution,of which all proposed amendments should be submitted to the Office of the General Secretary at the Party’s National Headquarters.
According to lawyer Justin Koduah Frimpong,the deadline for the submission of all proposals is Friday, July 17, 2026
“The Party encourages all members and stakeholders to take advantage of this constitutional review process by submitting proposals that will further strengthen the Party’s structures. enhance its internal democratic processes, and promote effective governance”.
As the Party prepares for its National Delegates Conference. it remains committed to constitutionalism, internal democracy. and the rule of law. ensuring adherence to the Party Constitution and its democratic traditions.
