Member of Parliament for Ablekuma North Constituency, Hon. Sheila Bartels has partnered with the National Lottery Authority (NLA) to commission an ultra-modern washroom facility for Wesley Grammar Senior.
According to her, it came to her notice that the washroom facility used to be one of the biggest challenges as an institution due to the recent student population in the school.
Hon. Sheila Bartels in an interview with the media emphasized that, during their recent meeting with the school authorities, the Headmistress outlined some of the challenges they are facing as an institution and appealed to the government to come to their aid since the student population keeps on increasing and their facilities are not enough to accommodate them all so with the help of the National Lottery Authority through their Good Cause Foundation have been able to address one of these challenges and they are hoping to tackle the rest.
She added that this facility aims to help promote and enhance teaching and learning in the school.
Public Relations Officer for the National Lottery Authority (NLA), David Nkansah Ato(DNA) on his part said that the NLA through their Good Causes Foundation has established four main pillars, Youth and Sports Development, Health, Education, and Art and Culture and they are hoping to construct about seventeen (17) ultra-modern toilet facilities with mechanized boreholes across the country and also urged Ghanaians to be very vigilant with fraudsters within the various social media platforms.
The Headmistress of Wesley Grammar School, Mrs. Barbera Takyiwaa Thompson also expresses her profound gratitude to the MP and the National Lottery Authority for their commitment and also outlines some of their challenges and appeals to the government and other philanthropists to immediately come to their aid.
