At the Adjen Kotoku market in Accra, the National Democratic Congress (NDC) members have overwhelmingly endorsed Professor Jane Nana Opoku Agyemang, who would be John Mahama’s running partner.
The market ladies commended the party for choosing a woman because she is capable of leading both at home and in public to assist Mother Ghana’s advance, especially on March 8, 2024, which also happens to be International Ladies’ Day.
In Ghana, a running partner will be a woman for the first time this time. Women are usually ministers in African politics, but Professor Jane’s skill is demonstrated by her selection as a running partner by a political party.
Many people have been won over to the National Democratic Congress by their choice of a woman, and head of communications Sammy Gyamfi said this demonstrates how much the NDC values the skills that women have to offer.
