The Assembly Member for Wassa Pewuako in Wassa Amenfi East of the Western region has donated a set of jerseys to empower youth through football.
Aside from the jerseys, Hon Foster Wadie donated gh¢2,000 to 20 schools that performed tremendously during a football gala competition organized at Wassa Pewuako.
Speaking to Abrewa Nana Kwabena Tawiah of Rivers FM, the assembly member anticipated that the donation would go a long way to enhance the efficiency of youth football in various communities.
Hon. Foster Wadie narrated that the initiative is to harness the untapped potential of the youth and foster unity and development in Wassa Pewuako and its environs.
He mentioned that the donation was in fulfillment of an earlier promise to the amateur footballers in various schools in his electoral area.
He commended the organizers of the gala competition for such wonderful work done adding that, the gala will help to identify the potential of the youth.
