New Executive Committee sworn in to lead Ghana Skaters Association (GHASA)

A new 11-member executive committee has been sworn in to lead the Ghana Skaters Association (GHASA) for the next four years.

The team, comprised of experienced individuals, is headed by President Johnson Kwaku Gameli Kportufe.

The newly elected executives are:

  • President: Johnson Kwaku Gameli Kportufe
  • 1st Vice President: Godfrey W. Amarteifio
  • Zone 1 Vice President: Reginald George Quartey
  • Zone 2 Vice President: Andrew Bampoe-Parry
  • Zone 3 Vice President: Emmanuel Lartey
  • Zone 4 Vice President: Eric Fordjour
  • Secretary General: Prosper Ashiquaye Doku
  • Deputy Secretary General: Nana Yaw Quansah
  • Treasurer: George Bamfo
  • Athlete Rep: Solomon Anim-Owusu
  • Women’s Commissioner: Josephine Darkwah

The new leadership team was elected following an online election overseen by an election committee chaired by Hon. Kwadjo Baah Agyemang.

Lawyer Devine Kweku Asigbetsey, who also serves on the committee, administered the oath of office to the new executives.

In his inaugural speech, President Kportufe outlined his vision for GHASA, emphasizing the importance of making roller sports accessible to all Ghanaians and promoting the sport as a tool for youth development and social change.

According to him, the new executive board is committed to developing grassroots programs, improving infrastructure, enhancing coaching and training programs, strengthening partnerships, and positioning roller sports as a positive force in Ghanaian society.
