The National Democratic Congress (NDC) youth in the Amasaman Constituency organized a vibrant football gala today, October 26, 2024, to showcase the visions of their Parliamentary Candidate, Sedem Afenyo, and the party’s Flagbearer, John Dramani Mahama.
The event attracted hundreds of young people from the area, who participated in football matches while discussing the candidates’ goals for the constituency.
George Asare, the Youth Organizer for Amasaman, expressed optimism about the NDC’s chances in the upcoming elections.
He says the event not only served as a platform for political engagement but also fostered community spirit among the youth of Amasaman.
He highlighted the pressing challenges faced by Ghanaians and youth in Amasaman, stating that Sedem Afenyo has already initiated infrastructure projects in isolated communities.
According to him, the construction of a community clinic by Sedem Afenyo has significantly eased healthcare burdens for electorates.
Mr Asare explained that the football gala aimed to empower youth and clarify why they should support Sedem Afenyo.
He was encouraged by the turnout at the event, asserting that it reflects strong support for the NDC to reclaim the Amasaman seat.
He revealed that many young constituents have pledged their votes based on Mahama’s proposed 24-hour economy policy.
He urged Ghanaians to vote for both John Mahama and Sedem Afenyo to continue vital developmental work in the constituency.
