
President John Dramani Mahama has reiterated his commitment that his administration do will its best to resolve the economic crisis facing the country in his tenure.
He made these comments when he delivered his first State of the Nation Address (SONA) on Thursday, February 27, 2025.
According to President Mahama, the country is facing severe economic difficulties however, he vowed to reset the country back on the track of progress.
”I John Dramani Mahama will fix the economic crisis confronting our content and reset it on a path of growth and prosperity,” he said.
He emphasized that the state of the nation is not in good condition and the economic situation in Ghana is in crisis but he is determined to find solutions rather than dwelling on the past.
“The state of the nation is not good. Our economy is in crisis and the people of Ghana are suffering unprecedented hardships,” Mahama explained.
”It is not my style to lament and shift blame. I am therefore not here to lament, even though there is much to lament about.”
He reassured Ghanaians of his record in delivering promises as he explained that he did his best to resolve Ghana’s energy crush before leaving office.
“I promised to fix ‘dumsor’ and I fixed it. There was no power rationing or load management in Ghana,” he told Ghanaians.
President John Dramani Mahama stressed further that his administration will do its best to stabilize the economy to ensure recovery.
