The Kwahu West Municipality has officially confirmed Hon.Tamimu Halidu as the new Municipal Chief Executive (MCE), following a successful confirmation ceremony held at the Municipal Assembly Hall.
Hon.Tamimu Halidu secured a remarkable 70.3% per cent endorsement from the assembly members as a vote of confidence in his leadership and vision for the municipality.
Emphasizing unity and collaboration as the foundation for progress, Hon. Tamimu Halidu promised to work wholeheartedly to ensure inclusiveness, unity, and prosperity for all.”
The well-attended ceremony brought together assembly members, traditional authorities, political party representatives, and residents, creating a vibrant atmosphere of unity and anticipation for progress under the new administration.
In his acceptance speech, Hon.Tamimu Halidu, expressed heartfelt gratitude to the President, Assembly Members of the Kwahu West Municipal Assembly for their endorsement of his nomination, the leadership of the NDC, and the entire assembly for entrusting him with the mandate to serve.
He pledged to lead a development-focused administration centred on key sectors such as infrastructure, education, healthcare, sanitation, and job creation.
He acknowledged the significant task ahead and stressed the importance of unity and cooperation in addressing the municipality’s challenges and assured residents of his commitment to the principles of integrity, transparency, and accountability.
He also reiterated his commitment to inclusivity, urging all stakeholders to look beyond political affiliations in the collective effort to advance development in Kwahu West.
