
The Pro Chancellor of the Knutsford University in the Greater Accra region, Bishop John Kwamena Essel, has urged African leaders the need for exchange programs and equivalencies to facilitate academic mobility and cooperation.
According to him, integrated academic programs are recommended to provide students with a broad perspective and solutions to African problems.
He stresses the importance of innovation and the need for Africans to consume and create their own innovations.

Speaking at the 15th matriculation and graduation ceremony in Accra, he stressed that the lack of academic integration among African countries uses the example of Ghanaian students studying in Nigeria and the need for mutual recognition of certificates.
He discusses the need for collaboration among universities within Ghana and with other African countries.
He mentions the challenges of awarding joint degrees and the need for frameworks to facilitate such collaborations.
