Amasaman MP donates items to first-year students to support education

The Member of Parliament for Amasaman, Hon. Sedem Kweku Afenyo, has extended support to first-year students in his constituency as part of efforts to promote education and ease the financial burden on parents.

As part of the gesture, the MP presented 50 mattresses, 50 plastic boxes, and other essential items to the beneficiaries to assist them as they begin their secondary school education.

The gesture aims to reduce the financial burden on parents as their children begin secondary school.

Speaking at the presentation, Hon. Afenyo explained that the donation forms part of his commitment to support education and motivate students to study hard.

He assured that this initiative will be continued every year to benefit more students in the constituency.

He advised the beneficiaries to take their studies seriously and make their parents proud, reminding them that leaders in the constituency are committed to their progress.

The Municipal Chief Executive for Amasaman, Hon. John Desmond Sowah Nai, also commended the MP for his continuous support of education in the area.

Hon. Nai expressed concern over reports that three girls became pregnant while writing their BECE, describing the situation as worrying.

He encouraged the youth to remain focused on their education to secure a brighter future.
