GOVERNMENT URGED TO REINTRODUCE CORPORAL PUNISHMENT IN SCHOOLS
The Nkosuahene of Akyem Moseaso,also CEO of Capital View Hotel Nana, Dwomo Brobbey has called on Government to reintroduce corporal punishment systems in schools to instill fear among students who might consider perpetrating violence.
To himit will help in preventing students from doing so and bemoaned the recent child rights and freedom issues have made teachers powerless in disciplining wayward students in the Schools.
He made this statement in his remarks when commended Nana Fosua Kobuor ll,the Queenmothor of Kwahu Obo’s Get-together Party and Donation for the children of Kwahu Obo Community where he expressed his delight about her vission and passion to support school going children.
He reiterated his unflinching support for the realization of the Queenmother’s dream to Raise Scorlars in her community and in furtherance stressed, the recent acts of indiscipline among students have met with many public condemnations that has become a security threat in the country.
He added his voice by urging government to reintroduce corporal Punishment to address the growing acts of indiscipline in Schools and also charged Parents to monitor their children closely to avoid copying bad lifestyle, emphasizing, Parental control for their Children well-being and better future.
On her part, the Queenmother of Kwahu Obo Community_ in the Kwahu South District, Eastern Region, Nana Fosua Kobuor ll,fetes with over 800 Children with Donation of School Uniform, Books, Pens, Pencils, cooked food, Biscuits and many more, aimed to ensure that the children have access to nutritious meals and also Put smiles on their faces during the New year festive season.
The traditional leader, Nana Fosua Kobuor ll,has been actively involved in various charitable projects over the past (9) Nine years to provide much-needed support to vulnerable children and explained, her vision is to dedicates herself to provide them with the resources they need to enable them “RAISE SCHOLARS” in order to produce “FUTURE PRESIDENT” from Kwahu Obo Community.
She further emphasised that every child deserves a chance to succeed and to ensure that they have access to the basic necessities of life, and contributing to the children’s well-being is an inspiration to her.
