The Ghana Police Service* and the *Adjen Kotoku Neighborhood Community Watch* have come together in a new partnership aimed at improving security and reducing crime in the entire community.
The collaboration was announced during a community engagement with residents and local leaders.
Speaking at the event, *ACP Gifty Mawuenyegah Tehoda, Director of the Community Policing Unit at the National Police Headquarters*, explained the roles of both groups.
She stated that the *Ghana Police Service* is mandated to *investigate and prosecute* when crimes are committed.
She added that the *Community Watch Police* will work alongside the police to support crime prevention and help *reduce crime in the community* through vigilance, information sharing, and early intervention.
ACP Tehoda urged residents to cooperate with both the police and the community watch, saying that community policing works best when the people and security agencies work as one.
Leaders of the Adjen Kotoku Neighborhood Watch pledged their commitment to support the police and protect lives and property in the area.
The partnership is expected to bring greater peace of mind to residents and make Adjen Kotoku safer for families, businesses, and youth.
