
The Chief of Kwahu Tafo, Nana Kwasi Opoku Mintah II, and residents of Kwahu Tafo Community in the Kwahu East District have declared their intention to forcefully evict the Fulanis from the area following an emergency meeting with community members and Fulani leaders.
Tensions in Tafo have escalated as residents have accused the Fulanis of destroying their farmlands, with the latest incident involving the alleged killing of a resident on his farm.
Chief Nana Kwasi Opoku Mintah II emphasized that the Fulani herdsmen would no longer be tolerated in the area, and he demanded that they vacate their land.
Nana Opoku Mintah II also called upon the government, the Interior Minister, the Member of Parliament for the area, and all security agencies to assist in removing the Fulanis from their lands.
Speaking on behalf of the Fulani leadership, Sariki Mohammed Abubakar appealed to Chief Nana Kwasi Opoku Mintah II and the community members to reconsider their decision and promised to help resolve the issue peacefully.
