
Five students has been seriously injured following a brawl between Form 2 and Form 3 students following a violent crash at the Assin Nsuta Agricultural Senior High School in the Central Region.
The conflict erupted after a Form 3 student was caught in a sexual encounter with a Form 1 student on campus, which caused series of commotion in the school.
The situation escalated when the senior student slapped a Form 2 student who witnessed the incident, leading to retaliation from the Form 2 students three days later.
Assemblyman for Assin Nsuta-Bepokokoo Electoral Area, Bashiru Kwame Amakrah, reported that the campus was left in disarray, with properties damaged during the altercation.
“I was informed about the incident and I quickly rushed to the school. I observed the entire campus was in a mess with properties damaged. I understand that two students were involved in a relationship.,” he explained.
The clash turned violent, with students using clubs and knives against each other. As a result, five students were hospitalized, while several others sustained minor injuries.
The police were called in to restore order, and the Assistant Headmaster in charge of Administration also suffered injuries during the incident.
The headmaster took some students to the police station to obtain a medical form for treatment.
