Constant thievery at Krofrom: Residents furiously chopped off man’s hand

Residents of Kumasi Krofrom in the Ashanti Region have severely injured a man they suspected of theft, resulting in the amputation of his left hand.

The victim, identified as Kwame Agyeman, also known as Agengo, is reportedly in his thirties and hails from Kumasi Ashtown.

Witnesses say that Agyeman was attacked by a mob after being mistaken for a thief.

He sustained multiple cuts to his leg and head during the brutal assault.

In an interview with with the media, Agyeman explained that he was a scrap dealer and had gone out to relieve himself around 3 AM when residents began chasing him, believing him to be a thief.

“I was just attending to nature’s call when they started chasing me. I never stole anything,” Agyeman lamented while lying in a pool of blood.

Residents at Krofrom Adwe-Nkwanta expressed their frustrations over the rising incidents of theft in the area.

They have called on the Ghana Police Service to increase security measures to prevent such occurrences in the future.
