GOMOA EAST: NANANOM RAISES CONCERNS OVER LACK OF LOGISTICS AVAILABLE FOR THE LOCAL POLICE

 

Gomoa Nyanyano Zongo Chief has raised concerned over lack of logistics at local police stations in the district to fight tarkle robbery cases happening on Kasoa – winneba highway.

In a press conference, the Zongo Chief of Gomoa Nyanyano Sariki Issaka Giwa (i)has urged the inspector general of police, interior minister, to provide logistics to the local police station on the stretch to help them tackle the rampant robbery cases on the winneba – Kasoa highway.

Adding more to his point, the Zongo Chief has also responded to the press statement from Concerned Youth of Gomoa East, which they criticized the DCE of Gomoa East Hon. Margret Naana Ackom for failing to provide security for the people in the district despite numerous reports on robbery incidents on the stretch, which has put the lives of the people act risk.

The chief has called on the youth to exercise patience since the DCE is just three months in office but instead support her and give her more time to address the issues in the district.

About eight robbery cases have been recorded between dominase, okyereko,Potsin, and Dabeni within just three months, but the police on the stretch lacks logistics to clamp down the menace.
