The Ghana Journalists Association (GJA) has given a seven-day ultimatum to the Ghana Police Service to provide a full investigative report on the assault on journalists during the Ablekuma North election rerun.
At a press briefing, President of the Association, Albert Kwabena Dwumfour, opined that the recent attacks on journalists are undermining press freedom.
According to him, the police service must give a detailed update on the status of investigations into all reported attacks against journalists across the country within the past seven months.
He added that the Police Service must come out and publicly identify the two suspect they have arrested and give detailed information as they claim their arrest.
He hinted that failure by the Ghana Police Service to provide full details to the GJA in a written report within seven calender day, the GJA will boycott all Police related activities and will declare them as enemies of press freedom.
