PROMOTING GOOD HEALTH, KWAHU WEST MUNICIPAL ASSEMBLY ORGANISES CLEAN-UP EXERCISE
In a bid to promote good health and sanitation, the Kwahu West Municipal Assembly, in collaboration with Ghana National fire service and Zoomlion, has organised a clean-up exercise in Nkawkaw
The clean-up exercise saw shop owners and traders closing their shops to join forces with the assembly and fire service to clean up the area.
Municipal chief executive for Kwahu West Municipal Assembly Hon Tamimu Halidu emphasized that the exercise is not a one-time event but rather a quarterly initiative aimed at ensuring continuity and sustainability.
To him,the assembly is determined to stop thr untidy conditions on the streets and markets across the municipality and would continue to work in accordance with their campaign and appealed to residents to show interest and take active part in such exercise.
Hon. Tamimu Halidu attributed the choking of the drainage to attitudes of inhabitants and traders within and around the markets, urging stakeholders to take environmental discussions seriously.
The president representative at Kwahu West(MCE) hinted that the assembly is going to enforce sanitation by-laws to punish offenders who, contrary, go against the sanitation laws.
Hon. Tamimu Halidu emphasized the need for Ghanaians to get involved to ensure Ghana is clean,adding that combating sanitation is a shared responsibility.
