WCM HONOURS GHANAIAN MCE ABDUL GANIYU IBRAHIM WITH THE PRESTIGIOUS LEADERSHIP AWARD.
The World College of Mayors (WCM) has conferred its Distinguished Leadership Award upon Hon. Abdul Ganiyu Ibrahim, Municipal Chief Executive of East Ayawaso in Accra, Ghana.
The award recognizes his outstanding contributions to sustainable urban development, innovative city management, and fostering inclusive community partnerships.
The honour was presented at a special ceremony where WCM officials praised Mayor Ibrahim’s dedication to principles of good governance that align with the organization’s global mission.
Dr. Manohar Roy, Operations Director of the World College of Mayors, presented the official citation.“This award honours not only the recipient’s exemplary contributions to local government and international cooperation but also his embodiment of the WCM vision,” stated Dr. Roy. “Through innovation, integrity, and dedication to public service.

The Secretary-General alluded that the recognition given Abdul Ganiyu to should serve as a catalyst for continued innovation in urban governance fot the betterment of Ghana and the sub-region as a whole.
