I, Niikweitsuruman II, Chief of Adjen Kotoku*, on behalf of my elders, youth, women, and the entire people of Adjen Kotoku, humbly appeal to the Government of Ghana and the Ministry of Roads and Highways for urgent intervention.
The main road leading to and within Adjen Kotoku in the Greater Accra Region is in a deplorable state. During the rainy season, the road becomes virtually impassable. Vehicles get stuck, market women lose their goods, students struggle to get to school, and emergency services are unable to reach those in need.
Adjen Kotoku is a growing community that contributes to the economy and development of Ghana. All we are asking for is a motorable road that connects us to the rest of Greater Accra.
We believe in the government’s vision to “leave no community behind.” We therefore respectfully request the immediate construction or rehabilitation of the Adjen Kotoku road.
We remain hopeful and we are ready to work with government to make this a reality.
