The National Democratic Congress (NDC) Parliamentary Candidate for the Amasaman Constituency, Sedem Afenyo, has launched a scathing critique of the New Patriotic Party (NPP) during the 33-Day Mop Up Campaign Launch held on November 3, 2024, at Achiaman School Park.
The event, themed “Sustaining the Momentum Towards Victory 2024 (The Final Push),” provided a platform for Mr Afenyo to outline his vision for the constituency and criticize the NPP’s performance.
Sedem Afenyo accused the NPP of failing to fulfill their promises to Ghanaians, stating, “If you are a leader and you cannot take responsibility for your failures, you don’t deserve to be a leader.”
He emphasized that the NPP’s inability to meet their commitments disqualifies them from being considered true leaders.
The NDC candidate drew comparisons between the achievements of former President John Mahama and those of the NPP within the Amasaman Constituency, asserting that Mahama’s record demonstrates more trustworthy leadership.
Mr Afenyo then presented his four-point vision for the Amasaman Constituency, focusing on improvements in health, road infrastructure, education, and market facilities.
He pledged to advocate strongly for the constituency in Parliament, pushing for the construction of more roads, hospitals, and schools under an NDC government.
He added that the Amasaman Constituency, being the third largest in Ghana, deserves better leadership and more resources to meet its needs.
“This is the third largest constituency in Ghana however there are no better improvements here. Amasaman deserves better,” he added.
He seized the opportunity to call on the people of Amasaman to vote massively for John Dramani Mahama and himself to support the constituency to grow into its best shape.
