The National Democratic Congress (NDC) in Amasaman Constituency intensified its campaign efforts with a mop-up event at Akyiaman on November 3, 2024, where Youth Organizer Mr. George Asare highlighted the party’s commitment to youth development through initiatives like the National Apprenticeship Program.
The mop-up campaign event, which drew various party dignitaries, served as a platform to reinvigorate the party’s base and showcase the NDC’s commitment to addressing youth unemployment through practical solutions.
The National Apprenticeship Program, a flagship policy of the NDC’s campaign, has been presented as a key solution to tackle youth unemployment and provide alternative pathways for skills development.
Speaking at the event, Mr. Asare urged young voters to support John Dramani Mahama for president and Sedem Afenyo for parliament, emphasizing that the NDC’s policies, particularly the National Apprenticeship Program, demonstrate the party’s dedication to youth empowerment.

The program aims to provide free skills training to young people, with government support through District Assemblies for training costs and start-up kits for graduates.
“What you’ve seen so far is just the tip of the iceberg,” Mr Asare declared, indicating that the NDC has more comprehensive plans for youth development.
He stressed the importance of every vote in the upcoming December 7 elections, encouraging attendees to bring their friends along to support the party’s vision.
